Lok Adalat held in District Court Pulwama

PULWAMA: A National Lok Adalat was organized today in Pulwama district under the chairmanship of Mr. Mohammad Ibrahim Wani, Chairman DLSA (Pr. Distt & Sessions Judge) Pulwama.

Total four benches were constituted in the district with two benches at district headquarter and one each at Court Complex Pampore and Tral.

The Bench 1 comprised of Raja Mohammad Taslim (CJM Pulwama) and Mr. Khursheed-Ul-Islam (Secretary DLSA Pulwama) and Bench 2 comprised of Special Mobile Pulwama, Mr Shiekh Gowhar and Mr. Altaf Hussain Khan (Munsiff/JMIC) Pulwama.

The Bench 3 comprised of Ms Nusrat Haqak, Munsiff Pampore and Mr Raja Arshid, Munsiff Awantipora. Bench 4 comprised of Mr Altaf Ahmad Mir, Munsiff Tral and Mohammad Shafi Dar, President Bar Association Tral.

A total of 211 cases were taken up in the National Adalat, out of which 169 cases were amicably settled. Settlement amount of rupees 42.63 lacs were paid in the settlement.
