National Legal Service Day observed in Pulwama

PULWAMA: The National Legal Services Day was observed at Pulwama by the District Legal Services Authority Pulwama under the chairmanship of Principal District & Sessions Judge Mr. Mohammad Ibrahim Wani on 09th of November 2020. The National Legal Services Day programme was a call to ensure fair and just judicial system which is easily approachable to the citizens of India. 

Chairman District Legal  Services Authority (pr. District & Sessions Judge) Pulwama, Mr. Mohammad Ibrahim Wani, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Pulwama "Mr.  Khurshid-ulIslam sahab, Retainer Lawyer Adv Rayies Ahmad wani alias Rayies Qadri and PLVs Mohd Altaf And Ulfat Ahmad participated in the event.

Chairman District Legal Services Authority Pulwama while speaking on the occasion highlighted the objectives of the Legal Services Authority Act and the role of Legal Services Authorities for promoting equal opportunities of seeking justice without allowing the economic and other social conditions to operate as a hindrance.

Speaking on the occasion, Secretary DLSA Pulwama emphasized on the urgency of striving for reducing the gap between the rich and poor litigants for a fair justice delivery. He said the notion of free legal aid finds its roots in the idea that no individual should have to undergo without justice.

On the occasion Retainer  Lawyer Advocate Rayies Qadri proposed among the participants that Free legal services are being provided to women and children, persons in custody, victims of human trafficking and other such vulnerable sections of the society.

and also in the matters of civil, criminal and revenue code, free legal services are being provided by the Govt. Of india through DLSA Pulwama.
