DLSA organises various legal awareness programmes in Pulwama

PULWAMA: In compliance to the directions of SLSA, and under the able guidance of Principal District and Sessions Judge Pulwama, Mr Mohammad Ibrahim Wani, various legal awareness programmes were organised by DLSA Pulwama at various places in Pulwama and Tral areas.

The programmes were conducted under Access to Justice Scheme Programmes on topics, "POCSO ACT, CHILD MARRIAGE AND RIGHTS OF CHILDREN".

Programmes on Dowry Prohibition Act and Foeticide and Infanticide etc were also organised in which social activists, Anganwari workers, students and other locals of the areas participated.

A press statement issued in this connection said, "The resource persons nominated by DLSA highlighted the various aspects of the laws, which was highly appreciated by the participants."

"PLV Altaf Ahmad Shah has played an important role in organising these programmes," a press statement said.
