Police-Public meet held at Sheeri Baramulla
BARAMULLA: A Police-Public meet was held today at PS Sheeri by DySp Headquarter, Gulzar Rashid and SHO Sheeri, Sajad Ahmad.
The meeting was attended by 40-50 respectables of Narwav belt under the jurisdiction of PS Sheeri.
COVID-19 advisory related social distancing was properly followed. A keen attention was given to their grievances / issues / pre-and-post impact of lockdown etc.
All the issue raised by the respectables related to Police will be addressed as early as possible while as all those issues / grievances pertaining to the other departments will be taken up with the concerned for their early redressal.
Cooperation was sought in terms of addressing various social evils like drug menace, eve-teasing etc. Besides, providing helping hand in controlling timber smuggling, illegal encroachment of government land.
They were advised to follow lockdown advisories issued by government in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, besides requested them to identify those who are in dire need of food, medicines etc, so that there needs can be fulfilled.
At the end, both DySp Headquarter / SHOSheeri thanked the participants for their support from last three months whether it was related to lockdown or other issues and hope that the people will work with police shoulder to shoulder in future.
