Escalation along LOC: Establish infrastructure & provide relief to affected families, says Mir Junaid
SRINAGAR: While the whole world is struggling to save human lives from the onslaught of Coronavirus, India and Pakistan are engaged in a battle wherein both the countries keep losing, including the precious human lives.
Meanwhile, the counter offensive by the Indian forces necessitated by the Pakistani shelling is naturally causing a sense of insecurity among the inhabitants of the area because they fear for their lives and that at times leads to some kind of resistance being offered by the locals to the response from the Indian side.
“Pakistan's misadventure has caused death of 3 civilians including a child in Kupwara, which is very unfortunate,” said Workers Party President, Mir Junaid.
“Very heavy artillery is being used by Pakistani Army. Villages just 20 km from the town have been hit badly. Panzgam, which is 60 kms inside LOC has witnessed huge mortar shelling, resulting in deaths, injuries and destruction of houses, shelters of the people,” added Mir Junaid.
Meanwhile, Jammu Kashmir Workers Party in a statement issued here said, “We believe that a human life cannot be valued in terms of currency and therefore while monetary compensations as offered by the governments, as a matter of routine, may help the concerned families to meet with their immediate requirements, but that is not the solution for a problem that is essentially human.”
It further reads, “While border clashes may continue to happen, the JKWP requests the GOI and the political leadership to initiate establishing of such infrastructures in the conflict prone areas of the UT of J&K that eliminate the tragic events of loss of precious lives and minimize the disturbances caused to the people in their day to day life.”
It is pertinent to mention here that the situation is turning ugly from the last few days & if it continues, there may occur more deaths.
