COVID-19: Sanitation drive conducted in Humpora Handwara
KUPWARA: In a view of growing pandemic disease COVID-19, a sanitation drive was conducted on Thursday at Hampora/Qaziabad village in north Kashmir's Kupwara district.
Several young people conducted a sanitation drive and chemical spray in different places of Hampora Kralgund village to mitigate COVID-19 threat.
Humpora is the first village in Kralgund/Qaziabad where sanitation drive was conducted. Young people like Irfan Mohiuddin Mir, Bilal Ahmad and Khursheed Ahmad Khan with some other youth of the village under the guidance of Auqaf Committee Humpora collect money from the whole village and received a proper permission from government authorities in Langate to conduct the drive.
After they acquired permission from the authorities, the said youth sanitized some important places of Hampora village as well as main market Kralgund, Police Station, Community Health Center and few vehicles of BSF and CRPF.
They apprised the public about the Coronavirus disease and precautionary measures. They appealed public to adopt preventive measures to keep themselves and others safe from getting affected by the deadly virus.
