Kashmiri activist's account disabled by Facebook
SRINAGAR: Journalist and Human Rights activist Peer Viqar Ul Aslam’s account was disabled by Facebook on Wednesday morning, barring him from operating his public page that has over 50,000 followers and also other news pages, he operates with collective of over million likes on Facebook.
Peer Viqar Ul Aslam is known for his speech and prominence amongst youth, for social and political activism. He has requested Facebook to investigate the matter and reactivate the account.
Mr Peer has been campaigning for rights of Kashmiri people on Facebook and other social media platforms for years now. He is also the chairman of Human Rights and Relief Foundation, having served and helped hundreds of victims.
