Cloud cover in South Kashmir - A breather amid scorching heat !
Pulwama: Day temperature continues to soar in Kashmir region with the mercury settling five degrees above normal even as the Meteorological Department (MeT) predicted rains over the next five days.
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 33.9 degrees Celsius, five notches above season’s average. The minimum settled at 23.6 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal,” Director, MeT, Sonam Lotus said.
He, however, said that Kashmir region will witness some respite from the scorching sun as there will be widespread isolated rain showers in the next five days.
Kashmir region will receive isolated rainfall today followed by fairly widespread rainfall tomorrow, he said.
